COSTA TEGUISE is situated in the municipality of Teguise, lying to the south east of the island, it is a well established resort with a variety of hotels and self catering properties offering almost every type of accommodation. The town has a good size shopping area from supermarkets to small bazaars. There are many beaches in the area, so wherever you stay you will find one close to your accommodation, whether you fancy a lazy day, sunbathing, playing with the children or water sports you will always find a beach to suit in Costa Teguise. For water sports like Windsurfing, Surfing, diving etc., there's plenty of diving centres and surf schools about, also noted for being the main windsurfing area on the island. The area also offers a good variety of bars & restaurants catering for most likes and dislikes serving both local and international cuisine, including some excellent fish restaurants. The nightlife here is more laid back than in its neighboring resort Puerto del Carmen, catering more for families, although it has a few late night bars there are not many nightclubs. If its clubbing you want then head for Puerto del Carmen, its only a 15 to 20 minute taxi ride away. Every Friday evening in Pueblo Marinero there is a Craft Market starting at 6.00pm to late, where local people gather to show off their handicrafts, this area comes alive with all nationalities, a great atmosphere not to be missed. The resort boasts the only Aqua Park on the island just 2 km inland which has recently been upgraded with new water slides, flumes and heated swimming pools. Open daily from 10am to 6.00pm. The Golf Course is also situated here offering the keen golfer eighteen holes set in an oasis of grass and mature palm trees. There is a beautiful view from the club house, as anywhere else on the course. For any golfer a visit here is a must in such unique surroundings.
